Google Toolbar - Valentines day edition?

Just uninstalled the old one and loaded the '2.0.107-big/en (GGLD)' version [still (c) 2003 though] and sure it looks like a valentines version.

Same here, auto update. Had me wondering for a few seconds.

Who cares about the little hearts. If only they could have a version reminding me of say my wedding anniversary, that would really keep me out of trouble :)

I remember in Christmas time, there was some kind of logo week or something, can't remember the name (Doodle [google.com]?) but yeah, Google changed the logo's everyday until a week, it was kind of a storyboard.

So, if I start to think logically..Google just created new graphics as an update for its toolbar just because it was Valentines Day? Pathetic.

Google has always been changing thier logs and graphics for different occasions. Valentine's day, the Olympics, Einstein's Birthday, etc.

And nauseating. If they want to change the appearance of their home page, so be it. If I don't like it I can just avoid using Google for a day. However, with the toolbar always visible on my screen even when not using Google, I don't want to have to look at garbage whenever I browse. Time for a nasty e-mail to Google.

I didn't know what you were all talking about at first, and didn't want to download just too see.. but I just opened a fresh IE and there it is... all these funky little hearts.

I like it.. it's cute and works perfect with their special logo theme's! Do you think that the majority who will like this are the girls? :o

Guess that is one reason why I only have the G-Bar on one system. (There are other reasons too, though.)

not sure how the update triggers, but you should consider downloading the latest version from [toolbar.google.com...] - and then again, as lukasz said - its a bit too late.

Ditto! I hate this, hate the look of it, the colors are lame, and it leaves me wondering what else google will be doing in the future concerning how MY IE will display and function. I will be disabling the Google toolbar if this feature cannot be turned off.

I haven't seen anyone ask this yet: CAN THIS OPTION BE TURNED OFF!?

Questor2, Almost everybody here has IE6 installed, whether or not they use it. (some also prefer previous IE versions.)

Those who don't like the lame pink stlye (me too!) , It should go back to normal in sometime, as a Valentines Day cannot last forever..

I think a lot of you are being a tad miserable. It's only going to last one day and it is a special occasion.

At the end of the day, you install the free Google toolbar and should accept it looks how Google choose it to look. I think it is a nice harmless touch.
