My google links are gone?

Hi,

My site is still listed in goole but a few weeks ago I noticed that none of the sites that linked to me show up in google any more.

When I do a link check on google I get nothing? Last time I checked everysite that linked to mine showed up? Have I been banned or something?

Thanks to anyone that can explain what has happend to my google links.

Hello herbman, Welcome to WebmasterWorld.

As for the missing links, nothing to worry about. To some extend it depends on the PageRank of the page being linked and the PageRank of the pages with the link. But that's not the whole story. That list is just incomplete.

.. our link search does not currently return a comprehensive set of results. The results show a sample of the links that point to your page,but this list is in no way indicative of the link structure utilized by Google to formulate a page's PageRank.

Thanks takagi. I thought I my have been under some sort of google penalty or something.

Well, I have had links for years and now they are gone. It seems like they are only showing recently added links for my site.

I went to ATW.com and did a backlink check and then started checking pagerank for those links. Lo and behold, there are NUMEROUS links with pr4 and higher that do not show in Google.

Google has never shown the true amount of backlinks, but now they have literally cut our links in half.

All I can say is, hurry up Yahoo!-INK.
