A company requested a quote from my company via online form for custom product. We quoted rapidly, their emails to us responding went to Spam because they had PDF attachments. We never did any business together no transactions. Next thing based on failed communications, there is a 1 star review on our Google profile. When we called to explain that their emails went to spam, we were told "That is our Problem"

Now we will go to their Google Profile page and leave a review thier based on our experience with this company. That is fair?

I think they are being totally unreasonable. If I were them, and I hadn't heard back i'd try again, and use the phone, asking, "did you get my message?"

To put up a Google review under the circumstances you described is quite vindictive, and i'd probably not want to deal with the company or individual again.

Also, I wouldn't play their game to put up a tit-for-tat response. What I would do is to encourage new positive reviews to bolster the account, thereby making your account look better.

This is just kids being kids, or adults being immature (both parties) IMO.

When it's something important, always ask for email and a secondary way of contacting your client (like phone, whatsapp, another email, etc). I understand a lot of people don't want to provide their phone numbers to avoid unwanted calls, but IF a client wants communication with you, both parties must be open, I would consider making email and phone number mandatory, if they don't want to provide it... I would be ok not even engaging.

After having at least 2 channels for communication (let's say email and phone number), you can send your quote and ask for confirmation to any of your channels (email, whatsapp, phone, etc with an specific time period, because quotes must have expiring prices), AND THEN, provide a follow up contacting the client in order to ask for feedback: did you receive the information? did you like it? do you need time to think about it? are you ready to confirm business? do you need something else? etc.

It's a bit like dating.

@Rlilly Sometimes these things happen due to various reasons. The best approach is to reach out to them through an alternate means and explain the situation.

@cymbalwhirlpool
I did reach out to them. I explained that their emails with attachments went to spam, maybe because their domain is listed on RAT SPAM as delisted, they actually said "That is my problem" and that calling to talk about a review is Un-Professional. It was very antagonistic from their side.

I dont like the fact that its a company requesting a quote, yet an individual leaves the review in his name. It really is a misrepresentation.

Be thankful, try to see it that way, you just discovered how problematic they are before even doing business.
