A company requested a quote from my company via online form for custom product. We quoted rapidly, their emails to us responding went to Spam because they had PDF attachmentsWhen it's something important, always ask for email and a secondary way of contacting your client (like phone, whatsapp, another email, etc). I understand a lot of people don't want to provide their phone numbers to avoid unwanted calls, but IF a client wants communication with you, both parties must be open, I would consider making email and phone number mandatory, if they don't want to provide it... I would be ok not even engaging.
