The feature only works if the Google Toolbar has been previously downloaded, and the user must actively choose to download the feature before it is enabled. According to a spokesman for Google, the user then has the ability to turn the Compute feature off at any time.
It looks the same. The articles says if you don't turn it on it won't use your cpu. Did I miss something in the article Brett?
Apparently, user intervention is still required to implement the feature (at least based on my reading of the extreme tech story).
