Getting file download requests when checking backlinks
Is this a bug?

When I check the backlinks of a site on my google toolbar,the page starts to come up and then disappears and is followed by a request seemingly from google to download a file. This has only just happened now and for every site I check. Can anyone explain Why? Thanks Alan

Alan, if it were just one site I'd say it could be a problem with the site itself. I just made that happen on one of my own sites in the process of learning PHP.
Check your computer for parasiteware (aka scumware), something may have attached itself. It's not from Google.
Did you try seeing if it happens after rebooting your machine - a cold boot?
