We have several maps on our website where we have set up controls so you can zoom into specific locations, click markers etc.

Now the maps always show as map only (not the hybrid state we set them to) our markers don't show up and the buttons which should show up the locations no longer work.

Its only just happened and we only found out as people are emailing us saying our maps don't work anymore.

Have they changed anything at Google?

Anyone else had trouble with the Google map api?

Yeah, they took out some stuff that was in the v1 API but was changed in the v2 API. It was kept working in the v2 API for a long time, but they finally just removed it.

I hope this link is allowed:

It's the "upgrade guide" -- look specifically at the "Method Name Changes." I was using a couple of old method names and my maps broke too. When I changed to the new method names, it fixed everything right up.

I just checked we did our maps after May 2006 and use V2- I actually purchased a Google Map API V 2 tutorial online and it is excellent.

Iv'e just checked that some of their pages (which I based our maps on) also do not work and they are acknowledged experts in this field

eg see

I think there must be another issue as Iv'e also noticed on other sites thst the maps are behaving oddly or not working at all.
