Parsing Google results in ASP

Use ASP to parse Google search results into XML

I'm looking for a bit of direction on how to query Google with the API and return the results in a format I can do something with (XML).

One example I've seen uses the old SOAP method which is no longer supported and I can't see the Ajax method doing what I want.

Does anyone know if this is possible?
