Ok - I opened google in two different browsers, IE6 (with Google toolbar) and Mozilla 1.3.

I then did the same search in each browser and get different results in each. Am I tripping?

Here's the string.
[google.com.au...]

I have checked my spelling, google preferences. I tried cutting and pasting the URL string from one browser to another - can't think what else at my end could be affecting the results. With all the Google business going on lately I have become a little paranoid.

Could the Google Toolbar affecting my IE results? I understand Google can track the websites I visit through the toolbar (spyware anyone?). Could they be serving me a personalised results list?

thanks for your time folks.

I just ditched all my cookies - reset my Google preferences in both browsers and am now seeing the same results.

Still not sure what the deal was. All better now.

I need some sleep

Actually I have been getting different results from going through IE-google toolbar, google.com and through the Opera google search. I figured it was because each one may be hitting different servers which have different results. The results tend to be the same for me...my site is missing...so hopefully it will re-appear in the near future.
