I hope this is the right forum for this question...

We're getting GET requests from Google MediaBot for various forms that would only be submitted by browsers as a POST. They result in an error. We assumed that Google would not follow POSTs, as they could do harm (what if the form was a deletion, or some other kind of data change?)

It's a pain to have to exclude these requests in robots.txt because the pages that we don't want bots going after are not in a subdirectory. I am loathe to use Google's wild card extensions to robots.txt exclusions since other tool bars may do the same thing. Possible with some rewrite rules, but a pain.

So my questions are:
* What the heck is MediaBot doing submitting POSTs as GETs?
* I assume its a bad idea to out-and-out exclude MediaBot, since we use AdSense (and AdWords)
* What are best practice here?
* And what they heck is MediaBot doing submitting POSTs as GETs?

:-)
