Problems with Toolbar Font Size

Google Toolbar in Spanish Problems

I am having some strange problems with Google's Toolbar in Spanish.

I use it for searching Japanese characters (“ú–{Œê) and 90% of the time it works ok; but sometimes... for some reason... the font size is set bigger than usual in such a way that I cannot see the content of the input box.

I guess it must be a bug? Isn't it?

My machine is a Win2000 Japanese, IE 6.0 Japanese, and Google's Toolbar in Spanish.... but I guess the problem will happen with any other non-Japanese toolbar, ‚Ë?

Hi rmleon, welcome to WebmasterWorld.

What I understand is that if you enter a Japanese search string into the white input field of the Toolbar, the font is changing.

1. Is the change from the start of the search string, or somewhere in the middle?
2. When does the size of the font changes? If you press enter and the SERP (Search Engine Results Page) is displayed, or while you enter the Japanese search string (but before you hit the enter key).
3. Is this problem reproducable for a certain search string? If so, please give an example.
4. How do you enter the string; copy & paste or with the IME (Input Method Editor) in Kana/Kanji mode?
