Which language toolbar to download?

I am about to download the google toolbar to investigate about my ranking.

Does anyone know if the english version or any other language toolbar ranks the same way? It's a bit difficult to explain but I will try.

For example, if I downloaded the Italian version and search
a domain name, would it give back the rating from Italian google site? I take it xyz.com's rating at Google.co.uk and Google.it are different?

I am hoping that there are different language version for the sake of easy use and functionality is same.

If I could, it might be easy to download both and try. Has anyone done this experiment?

As far as I know there is no real difference between the results. For some reason the English version looks to be higher than the toolbar for other languages (see Non-English toolbar is older version [webmasterworld.com]).

I noticed that searches on www.google.co.jp sometimes gave Japanese pages a higher rank than the same search on www.google.com. But that is an option in the toolbar (with an Italian toolbar you can still select '.com' and with an English version you can still select '.it')
