PR5, but no external links

A competitor has a pagerank of 5, i only have pr3.

When i look on his backlink via the toolbar, He only has links from within his own site, no external ones! (about 10 of them)

How can he be a PR5 with no external links?

Probably because one or some of those pages linking to the main page have external links.

He has external links, you just didn't find them.
Try using ATW.
