hi ,wasnt sure if i should put this in google or here.
Im using netobjects fusion and im trying to ad a site map for google. i used a site map generator and pasted it on my site in a blank page..didnt work. what is the correct way for dummies like me to add a site map for google....are google site maps worth having

It is worth having. But if all your sites already indexed by Google and you do not intend to update your site in the future, then don't bother to take the trouble of creating one.:D

I never try "netobjects fusion" before. I assume that you already generated the sitemap.xml with that software. All you need to do now is to login to your Google sitemap account. Add your site, then verify that you are the owner of the site by adding a blank html file called "google1234567890abcdefghijk.html" (this will be generated by your sitemap account). Click verify. After it has been verified, you need to click on Add Sitemap. Then you have to enter the URL of your sitemap e.g. [webmasterworld.com...]

Do not put your sitemap in sub directory or sub folder!

Hi, I have created a new xml Google site map, but I can't get it to pass the W3C Validator. I am not a coding expert at all.

Each link in the map I want Google to follow is formatted like this:
<url>
<loc>http://www.roots2buds.net/find.php?mylastname=ADAMS&amp;lnqualify=equals&amp;mybool=AND&amp;showspouse=yes</loc>
</url>
<url>

The validator seems to have a problem with my opening statement. I have:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<urlset xmlns="http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap/0.84">

I know it needs a document type to be defined, but each one I choose seems to be wrong.

If you can help, I sure would appreciate it.
