I've been getting a bunch of those error pop-ups and when I click for more information, the Microsoft page blames the toolbar. I've been using the back button a lot and that seems to make the crashes occur most of the time. I'm wondering if IE/XP users often get browser crashes and click to see that Google is being blamed.

I have been having these problem in the last month too.

Experiencing problem on two different machines.
I have XP Pro (personally) and Win98 at work. Both PC have Google and Alexa toolbar. XP Pro has I.E. 6.0 and Win 98 has I.E. 5.0

My problems occur usually when I click through screen very fast. I have also notice Alexa has had problems starting up when a new browser is launched.

I have it on good authority there is a new version of the toolbar out 1.1.69 which fixes this issue.

I believe this is true too. Upgrading to 1.1.69 should fix any problems you have.

How do I upgrade the toolbar?

Shouldn't there be a link at "Google" "About Google Toolbar"?

Not to worry

I have XP home no toolbar, 512meg ram & experience browsing crashes where I cannot reboot, so must format.

Have a look at your events log in XP Start>control panel>performance & Maintenance and see what it may lead to.

Seems to hate paint shop pro too?

My latest reformat (7 this year)indicated NTFS corruptions so a scandisk sorted that out.
been going well all day now :-)

I took XP off my lap top and new desktop. Laptop mini-dumped every 5-7 minutes and many strange and annoying crashes with desktop.

2000 has run with absolutely no problems on both.
