Folding@Home - What's your score so far?

When you view your stats to see how much you've contributed, it shows you 3 types of scores, your weighted score, user rank, and work units completed.

Mine are 82.39, 27,421, and 30.

Just wondering if anyone beats my score? :) I'm sure some of you do. Does the 27,421 imply that many more "better" users than me?

What's "Folding@Home"?

Its a distributed computing project. You donate your machine's spare CPU cycles to work on a project - similar to SETI, which was analyzing radio data to search for extra-terrestials. I think the Google project is a mathematical one.

What does Folding@Home do?Folding@Home is a distributed computing project which studies protein folding, misfolding, aggregation, and related diseases. We use novel computational methods and large scale distributed computing, to simulate timescales thousands to millions of times longer than previously acheived. This has allowed us to simulate folding for the first time, and to now direct our approach to examine folding related disease.

How many of you are using toolbar, the FAH client or have your own teams?

I use the FAH command line client on windows and also the linux version on one machine. The command line version can be run as a service which is nice for me.
