Intranet Toolbar?

Is anyone already using a "customised" Intranet version?

Hi, Is anyone aware of a customized version (official or unofficial) of Google's Toolbar for use on a local Intranet?

For example having the toolbar running searches via a local Google search applicance instead of the Google's main page.

Thanks Richard

This thing is pretty cool and you can customize it, already put it on a few sites so folks could download the ole "widget toolbar".

You can change the registry setting to have it pull from different servers. Try changing the googleHome value to a your local appliance. It is under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Google\NavClient\1.1\Options. Select googlehome and change the value to your server google name. It may work. :)

Guys thanks.

John, UltraBar looks pretty cool however I'm primarily interested in Google's toolbar only. Still I will have a look at UltraBar at some point when / if I get a chance.

Korkus, thanks. I had a look at the setting you pointed out, at first glance I came to the conclusion that the GoogleHome setting is used for something else, e.g. when you select "Google", "Google Home Page". Still I changed the setting anyway without any results (even after re-starting IE) so I am now sure this setting is unrelated to what search "site" is used.

However what I did notice is the toolbar does definately support custom settings, e.g:
Software\Google\NavClient\1.1\Custom\ApplianceOptionText
Software\Google\NavClient\1.1\Custom\ApplianceButtonText

So I am interested to hear if anyone is aware of these settings or others being used to do custom searches for Intranet use in either a test or production environment.

Thanks Richard
