I know (or should I say "I believe") that PR is a dead duck and means very little these days but I'm curious as to why the root of google.com.au only has a PR of 8.
Surely it should be at least a 9?
I was going to post this in Foo [webmasterworld.com] but I seem to recall that Foo is a G! free zone?

How did you conclude that it should be 9? I mean, I am sure Google uses the same algo for everything, so if it is 8, then it's 8.
