Help! Page Rank Disappeared!

Help! Today is the first time I've posted on a forum asking for help - I'm new to all of this. My site has been up for about 6 months and I got it to a PR3. For over a month now, it dropped to a big fat 0. I have no idea what I did to make this happen so let me tell you the two things that I did last month and maybe that will help you out with some reasons as to why it may have done that or maybe not.

1)I sell products on eBay and I put a little text block on my home page with the link to my ebay About Me page.
2)At the same time, a link that I had been buying each month disappeared (PR5) as the site owner sold the site so it was dropped.

Those were the two changes I did together and within a few days, I had no PR. Could one of those things have done it? I've removed the eBay text block thinking that may have done it.

What can I do now to get some PR back? No one wants to link to me since I have PR0.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi and welcome

PR is calculated by the relevance and quality of links to your site. The loss of a PR5 link would certainly cause your PR to drop especially if it was only one of a few links to your site.

Do you have PR0 or is the PR bar grey?

It is a hard slog getting good quality links. I would recommend submitting your site to a whole bunch o directories, both free and paid in order to accumulate a few links.

The odd thing is that toolbar PR has not been updated for a while now. It should update soon so I would try to get a few links in if I were you.
