Does G use info from your Google My Business (GMB) page to rank your site?
I have a site that has mostly Canadian content and very strong rankings for a small niche of terms. I incorporated in the US for additional legal protection and have an address in California. If I use a US address, will it negatively impact my Canadian rankings?

Our service is not limited to Canada and we'd like to grow into the US, but we've had limited success with that so far.

GMB info to rank the site? Not exactly.

There seems to be some influence applied to other site pages if the business page has positive reviews, but the biz page in GMB gets most of its juice from Local Search and a few trust factors like length of time in business, backlinks from same niche sites, customer service policy, contact page, etc. So it's more about pages than the entire site.

There have been a few discussions regarding multiple locations for a business. AFAIK the way GMB is currently set up, it works best to create a GMB listing for each location, using those addresses and link the listings to seperate biz pages.

How you would set up those seperate biz pages on one site is probably the more strategic question.

Thank you for your detailed reply. (I missed the email notification somehow.)
That is a really good point about setting up the separate biz pages on the same site.
Can you provide any examples of sites that do this well?
