Length of Post

Hello,

Is the length of a post important in google + ( number of characters ? ) and is it important to add # in the post.

2 nd question :
I did do what google requested in order to have my picture posted next to the search results but it doesn't really work.

What i mean is that i have connected to google + and do a search it appears ( and the strutted data testing tool tell me it works )

But if i am not connected to google + and do a search for the main keyword for my website the picture doesn't appear next to my domain name is that normal ?

It only appear next to a new I right or comment on google + but not next to my website ?

Long enough for what?

Adding #hashtags might help if it's not a keyword in the post itself. G+ will find keywords on its own and tag them automatically otherwise. Some find posts filled with hashtags distracting.
