In the other thread it talks about Froogle results being displayed within the search results. But now I am seeing a link right off the main Google Search Page:

"Shopping? Try Froogle - Google's product search service."

The "try froogle" is linked to the Froogle site.

This is new for me. First day I have seen this link.

Yep, that's new!

I don't understand the whole "Beta" thing. What makes it beta?
I mean, it's linked from SERPs and Google.com.

Aside from the homepage promo, now i see at the end of the results, way at the end.
A long blue box with

Shameless Self-Promotion
Shopping? Try Froogle - Google's product search service.

So, after one year, almost to the day, are we seeing the release of Froogle? With the Froogle link now added to the Google home page, will we see a substantial increase in traffic? I have been data-feeding to Froogle for quite some time, so I am going to monitor this very carefully on my sites. I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks

heh, well at least they are honest with the "Shameless Self-Promotion" tag at the end of it

Is the satisfaction survey new too or have I just not been paying attention?

Starting to see a number of froogle referrals - for the first time outperforming our google catalogs listing - and increasing daily. Not a huge percentage of total traffic, mind you, but a noticeable jump.

New holiday froogle logo too.

New holiday froogle logo too.

And Gee...isn't the word "BETA" conveniently harder to see carved in the snow. I'm sure a consumer doesn't even know what "BETA" means (and if they even care) but it is funny from a developer's viewpoint.

Todd

PS- A client received their first "FROOGLE" referral last night from a non-data feed listing. I checked out how it looks on froogle and I must say Google did a nice job of capturing the right photo, title, description, and price from the web page itself.

[patting my back]Couldn't have been because of the great coding job done by the webmaster that helped Google gleen the proper info?! Hmmm...LOL.[/patting my back]

Received a first sale from a Froogle search referral, maybe those months of data-feeds are going to pay off.

Thanks
