Could updating your listings hurt your ranking

We currently have our products xml being downloaded nightly and Im wondering if that is too often.

I'd done searches for a few things and they arent showing up in google base/google shopping so I'm wondering if we are having it update too often and if that could be harmful.

We submit a majority of our clients' feeds to Google Product Search daily and it is not a problem. There has been recent trends that show a drop in some of our clients' Google Product Search traffic which you may or may not be experiencing.

Nope... no errors at all. But I'm seeing a fairly sizable decline in customer referrals from it. Thought maybe just maybe the update was too often and that the products need some time to mellow in the system, I've seen where some
