Am still not sure which factors effect the most towards ranking in Google Base.

1. Selling/buyer ratings

2. Optimized titles(which contain keywords)

3. Optimized Description(which contain keywords)

4. Low or high price?

5. Valid UPC no.?

6. Quantity?

7. Proper Categorization or Custom categorization?

8. Or using any other kind of custom attributes with keywords contain values :)

Hope this thread will cover most of the doubts of me and as well as others.

I don't think there is any combination of factors which gurantees top placements and if someone found out the secret sauce I doubt they would be posting in public.

How about examining sites that the products are showing from?

I've read on multiple occasions that review data is very much a part of rankings; especially for internet retailer sites. I have never done a full analysis on my products to see if the ones that rank higher (and more often) have more reviews.

Yes, even i assume that, if the site has more reviews and competitive price...chances are..products from that site..would rank higher..even if titles are not optimized well
