"should be able to purchase the product directly from that web page. Higher-level category pages are not acceptable"
Problem here is my purchase pages require a session id/cookie from the front page.
If we upload our category brand pages they are only one click from purchasing, how strict are the froogle people?
I am relying heavily on the word "should" here....
Also they say prices have to match exactly when you go to the site....are prices change often on promtions we have so it would be impossible for every price to match up all the time without uploading on a daily basis. We were thinking about updating on a monthly basis...any opinions on this?
Thanks,
tal
I wouldnt worry about froogle too much just yet, I think its a long way from becoming a major force.
As soon as the "Stores" tab appears on Google's nav bar (and we don't know when that will happen, it could be tomorrow or several months from now), I guess you will have to change your opinion very quickly, dazz. ;)
Anyway, I think a Ferrari is not exactly the best example of what your average online shopper wants to find on Froogle. Not only for the high price, but because of Ferrari's very strict selling policy: it's nearly impossible to purchase a new Ferrari in the real world unless you already own one (or more) so you can join the Ferrari Owners Club [owners.ferrari.com], and even a second-hand Ferrari is quite hard to find: I only found 5 on eBay...
If you give me the money, i will have a brand new ferrari for you within 1 hour!</sidebar>
But i don't like Froogle for other results too, to me Froogle feels like a bookstore, with a few accessories added.
