I just recieved what appears to be the first installment of a monthly Froogle newsletter. What do you think? Is this an indication that they're finally getting serious about this?

Note: It looks like they've made some changes, too. They added some optional fields (such as Brand Field) to the date feed.

I expect we will here more about Froogle as we get closer to the break from Yahoo and the IPO.

Given, time it will probably catch on and become pretty popular if they get it working right.

Major kudos for Google for the newsletter. Judging by the 30 hits I've had from Yahoo Products this month, I'd say Froogle will be quite productive. The trick is to integrate it properly so people use it. But that shouldn't be hard for Google.

I don't think (and also hope) that froogle will be released in the near future.
There are still too many bugs:
- mixed up currencies (EUR values displayed as USD)
- lot of spam (duplicate content --> "robbie williams live summer 2003")
- picture recognition doesn't work properly
- too many wrong products

Well, I think Google is spammy, but Froogle is even worse.
