Feed failure

My froogle feed hasn't been processed since Feb 12th, it just says "feed failure". I have a cron job to create and upload the feed every day. There are 3 feeds, Feb 13, 14 and 15 that say "Feed not yet processed".

My feed has been good since June. I have tried uploading it manually as well, but it's not being picked up at all.

Any ideas? It took so long to get on Froogle in the first place, and now it's next to impossible to get a reply from an actual person.

Thanks,
Deb

after you sign into froogle, did you look under Status >Details and then under Outcome >Details to see what the errors were?

My last upload on the 13th was ok.

Here's what I see:

02/12/05 21:59 upload
View all uploads

Outcome: Failure - help
Number of products processed: 1635
Number of products succeeded: 1633
Number of active products: 1633

Feed file name: babylonmall.txt

Processed at: 02/15/05 05:19

Errors

Line # ▼ Error Bad feed data
Unrecognized header - help

Internal error - help

FYI I have ALWAYS gotten those last 2 errors.

From their help page:

The fields we require are:

* product_url
* name
* description
* image_url
* category
* price

From my code:

fwrite ($FH, "product_url\tname\tdescription\timage_url\tcategory\tp rice\t\n");

I guess I'll email them again, it's now been 12 days with no feed processed and if this keeps up, my account will become deactivated and I'll have to go through another 10 weeks of hell to get back on!

I think - hope - that the problem was I had trailing tabs on each line. I have removed them, managed to figure out how to change my password, and will try to upload the feed again.

Wish me luck!

I just had an email from froogle saying that they are having problems processing feeds. One of mine has been nearly two weeks and its still "Awaiting first upload". So they are aware of it and hopefully will fix it soon.

I too have been waiting over a week for my first feed to process.

I couldn't get a response using the "help" link after 4 tries over 10 days, so I submitted a question on Google Answers for $10.

The editors emailed me back and said "they didn't feel right charging me for an answer they could give for free".

The problem of course is I can't get an answer.

It seems that Froogle is catching up with their backlog of new feeds. My US feed has now been uploaded and is listed with good placings and my UK feed has gone up a notch to "Pending Approval". So they are processing the feeds. In recent months I've actually been getting some good traffic and sales from Froogle so I'm happy again.

Froogle is what I class as free traffic so I wouldn't base a whole business plan on it but its good to be back in.
