Why are our images intermittant?

We've had a live Froogle feed for a few weeks now, and even had some sales from it! However there is an ongoing problem with the images that I can't work out.

If I do a search and _one_ of our products turns up in the results then the image is normally fine. But if two or more results come back then sometimes more than half of the images are missing! Stranger still is that if you do a page refresh the missing images sometimes appear, but some of the images that were ok disappear :(

It must be something to do with Froogle's image caching because while monitored the logs and doing searches I've observed hits from Froogle for certain images with a null referrer field. For example if I do a search that turns up products A and B, I might see an image hit for product A but I'll only get image B appearing in the results - image A is "image not available".

Is anyone else seeing this?
