As we know, Google Chrome uodates itself, however, it's just decided to make itself default on my tablet.
I'm not yappy with that move by Google.

Heh! These tech giants make this mistake time and again ... MS just got through with breaking their search bar, forcing Edge, etc. G has had its version of same and this appears to be one of them.

You CAN change your default, correct?

If you CAN'T then this is a really large foobar!

All it takes is absent-mindedly clicking Enter at the wrong time. Every time I update Flash Player--which is surprisingly often for something that has been repeatedly given just a few months to live--I have to manually change the update setting, or it will default to Install Whenever We Feel Like It, Without Even Asking.

(In the specific case of Chrome I'm off the hook because I already have a newer version that whatever it currently claims is the last version my OS will support. Ours not to reason why.)

I tried to uninstall Chrome on the tablet, but, of course, it's not possible as it's baked in.

I did disable it and so far, no ill effects.
