According to many reports, Google has changed Chrome 69 browser so that it automatically signs a user in when accessing a Google site.

If true, that's not a good move, imho.

Google says, "Sync is not turned on unless you later turn it on." [twitter.com...]
n spite of this explanation, ZDNet reports that people aren't happy about the change because they can't choose not to log into Chrome

Personally I don't see an issue with it.

It happens only on a Google browser, only if you have a Google account, only on a Google site that can only be accessed if signed in... duh.

You don't need to log in to Google to use it for search, I'm thinking that might be what some object to. I use Google Maps without logging in. Not all services they offer require a login to use.

Yes, there's no login forced for Search. I use the Map api so I do login for that. If I log out, then go to Maps from Search, I am not forced to log in. There is a login utility that pops up, but I am not automatically logged into it.

If I go to my various Google accounts pages, I like that fact I'm logged in without the need to type my username and password.
