Google is releasing Chrome 66 for Windows, Mac and Linux and it includes a number of expected features, such as autoplaying content muted by default on desktop, which was originally delayed from an earlier version. There's also an option to completely disable autoplaying sound on a site-by-site basis.

There are some developer features worth noting, too, including Chrome 66 implementing CSS Typed Object Model, and ImageBitmap Rendering Context for the canvas tag, amongst others.

There's also a site isolation trial. [chromium.org]
Site Isolation is an optional security feature in Chrome that offers additional protection against some types of security bugs. It makes it harder for untrusted websites to access or steal information from your accounts on other websites.

Some SSL Certs getting nuked in 66:
As they should. SSL is no longer supported and has been replaced by TLS for some time.
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is now prohibited from use by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)

Don't really notice a difference from 65. I installed a plugin that disabled autoplay on 65. Guess I can remove it now on 66.
