Google has updated its Chrome Developer Program Policies to ban cryptocurrency mining extensions from the Chrome Store.

I've also noticed a steady decline and seemingly disappearance of anything crypto in Adsense.

Given that cryptomining in a browser extension is almost certainly going to be done without users permission, its a good call.
