According to a report, Chrome for Android Developer has been released and it has the ad blocker that is expected in Chrome next year.

The toggle is found under Chrome’s settings menu, in a subsection called “Ads” of the “Site settings” menu item. It allows you to toggle on a feature that will “Block ads from sites that tend to show intrusive ads,” though it’s set off by default, at least in this build. Not live yet in Chrome 59 (the latest.)

I'm wondering how long do these Beta tests usually stay in Chrome for Android Developer before being laid on the public? If we're still thinking "next year" that could be as soon as 4 months.

This is much more significant than just a feature in a mobile browser. This will be the first implementation of the The Initial Better Ads Standards [betterads.org] and how Google will evaluate ads on web pages.

This will likely also be reported in the new (but not yet active) feature in GSC > Web Tools > Ad Experience Report > Desktop/Mobile
