How to remove AMP pages from site

I want to un-AMP...

I've tried out AMP on a site for a few months. Traffic has stayed fairly consistent but revenue has plummeted.

Adsense earnings are down significantly but the real kicker is I was earning the same amount from Disqus ads.

So I have decided to write this one off. However, I don't seem to find a clear way to gracefully wind down AMP on a site. Worst still I 've read of the cache remaining for weeks while users are directed to broken pages..

Any suggestions appreciated.

Seems to have done the trick. Along with removing the rel amphtml tags the amp pages have disappeared from Google overnight.

That and Adsense earnings are already better than they have been for months and it's only 10.40am...
