Google Adwords Traffic and estimate CPC

Hi,

I am looking to post an Ad in google Adwords with few keywords.

When I go to estimate search raffic it shows me No Enough Data.

What should I do to check it out and see that at what cost should I place the Ad so that I receive Traffic from it.

Any sort of help will be highly obliged

You just have to pick a figure and test it out. Just watch impressions and clicks carefully.

"Not Enough Data" usually means your keywords have low search volume.

Don't put much faith into their estimates even if you aren't getting a "not enough data" response. There's really no way to estimate what your traffic or costs might be before your ads are running -- Google's software can not evaluate how effectively your ads are written, how much attention your headlines will grab, how appropriate your ads will be for whatever keywords you're targeting, etc.

It's simply not that easy. You'll have to monitor the response yourself no matter what "estimate" you may be given.

If you are worried about how much you should bid, you can start low. My issue with 'not enough data' is that you may not get any impressions/clicks. So you can start bidding at anything above 1 cent (see if your keywords are active though) - you can bid low to begin with. Try and see if you get impressions. You will get to know the position of your ads, and then you can change your bids to suit your needs.

I am not worried about bid cost or cost per click.

Actually I am not getting clear details of traffic on the keyword I am looking to buy.

So is there any way to check traffic details if google is not giving project on traffic on keyword.

anoopsinghal80, the following suggestion may or may not work for you - depending on your budget limitations as you start with AdWords:

The best way to get accurate numbers for traffic on particular keywords is to run an Ad Group including those keywords for a period of time, in a campaign that is sufficiently budgeted for the ads to appear 24/7 - and then use the date range tool to take a look at your actual statistics for a full day's worth of impressions on those keywords.

NOTE: the daily budget you set for a campaign will control how often the ad will show. So, if you set a budget that is not sufficient for the ads to show all the time, then the impression numbers you see in your stats will not reflect the actual traffic that was available.

Please correct me if I am wrong, I thought google never showed an ad 100% of the time even if the daily budget was 10x of what was required. It would show it majority of the time but not ALL the time.

Hmmm. This is a new one on me. I haven't heard of such a limitation, nor can I really imagine a reason to implement one. I'll ask around, and see if I am mistaken, but don't think I am.

By the way, are you aware of the newish 'Accelerated Delivery' option? This option, combined with an appropriate daily budget, should give you 24/7 delivery. More info from the Help Center:

I also just started with google adwords. After I did the estimate traffic search because of my low bid it comes back as inactive for search increase quality or bid to activate . Does that means that those keywords will be inactive. I don't want to bid over a dollar for each keywords. What is the best way to work around this?

Try the content network, you should get many (if not thousands of) impressions if bid value is decent..

At the same time take the advice of AWA..

The accelerated delivery option is the better choice especially when Search volume for a keyword is low.

Just my experience..
