Its getting close to the change over and as yet i've not seen any info.

Does the "micro site" exist? If so, where? Where is the list of exemptions? Or are we just supposed to wade around looking for them?
As usual, we are expected to just wait until the announced date, and then scramble.
Everybody clear you calendar for July 1. And we can all probably forget about hot dogs and fireworks. :(
I note that Google employees will be conviently absent for the holiday when it hits the fan. Timing could not have been worse.
The date has been changed a couple times, but the only place I'm hearing any of this info is from Google directly, not thorough Google announcement channels (emails, blog, etc).
Even if people just knew that the date has been pushed back, and the new estimates, a lot of the communication issues about the new API charge/quota system would be fixed.
Of course, it's possible this info was released and it's just difficult to find on the blog.

The baffling thing is, Google has done this to us several times. Not just on this issue. They make vague announcements, move the date without making public announcements (while privately telling select individuals), announce resources that are then not forthcoming, and then - wham!

In the absence of definitive information that I can pass on, my response was meant to point folks to the place where they could expect to find that definitive information as it becomes available. Hopefully, this will prove useful to some.

Wow! That sounds like quite a challenge you're undertaking. I've not seen you seemingly take quite a stance like this before.

Yep, nothing like making a public statement to motivate one to meet one's goals, eh? ;)
... Google has IMO managed to do better than most, while necessarily keeping much of its strategy & tactics concealed from competitors for as long as possible.
Thanks for that, shorebreak - and thanks also for understanding (and saying out loud) that clear and concise public communication is not always as simple as one might think.

Does anyone understand what this means or maybe have a better explination.
The new announcment says it is delayed due to developers not having enough time to impliment code changes etc. but if we dont know what the changes are then how can we plan the changes in advance.
This basically means that big companies like eBay, that has developed in house applications using the API will get free quotas.
