1 Adwords Account per targeting country

I know Adwords doesnt like multiple accounts, fearing that many accounts bidding on the same keywords.

If that was the reason, I wonder if I could run multiple accounts, one account per targeting country.

Example:
Acount 1: Display only in UK
Acount 2: Display only in France
Acount 3: Display only in US
Acount 4: Display only in Japan
Acount 5: Display only in China

With this setting, no two more accounts ads display within the same country.

I wonder if this is ok with Adwords.

If you're only running a few campaigns per country, then you'll have enough campaigns (where country targeting is set) to run all of these in a single account.

If not, then I'd write to Google and explain the situation and solicit their input.

All you need is 1 campaign per country. However the only problem is when you want to synchronize your campigns. It becomes easier to monitor if you set up seperate campaigns. Although you can have the same campaign for as many countries as you wish, however you can't seperately track the stats of each country, therefore a campaign for each country is required. I wish google can include a feature to track stats for each country if you have them all in one camapign.

Today I received a reply (below) from Adwords regarding 1 adwords account per country. From the reply, I believe it is a YES to have 1 adwords account per country. Let me know if you read it differently.

targets a
different geographical region, you may certainly create a unique
account
for each country."
