URL destination of ads linked to keywords

Hi,

I have a question about setting the destination url of specific keywords, and then setting the destination url of ads...

To illustrate:

Say I have 1 adgroup which has 1 keyword whose settings are abc.htm
I then have 1 advert whose url destination is xyz.htm
When my ad is served from my keyword and someone clicks on it- where do they land?

(we have 5 ads displaying from about 50 keywords so are rather confused as to what is the best way to get control)

Can anyone help figure this out?

The keyword URLs will take precedence over the ad URLs.

Therefore, in your example:

Say I have 1 adgroup which has 1 keyword whose settings are abc.htm
I then have 1 advert whose url destination is xyz.htm
When my ad is served from my keyword and someone clicks on it- where do they land?

if someone clicks on your keyword, they will be taken to abc.htm

Yes, they default to the keyword on search.

Something to watch, though:
If you are using the content network, the url displayed is the one in the ad, not on the keyword.

So, be sure you have the url in there that you would want to use for content matches, too, including any tracking query.
