Multiple adword accounts?

Can one person have multiple adword accounts? I belived only 1 account/person is permited, but I found that my competitors have more accounts. Is it against Google tos to have multiple adwords accounts, or you can have as many as you want?

Multiple accounts is fine.
Targetting the same keywords from multiple accounts isn't.

If the Google has reviewed and found that we have hold multiple accounts, what should we do? Do they ban us?

and can i disable the campaign for example.com from one account and start the campaign from diffrent account?

the reason for only allowing 1 account is so you cant double serve : 2 ads appearing at the same time giving you an unfair advantage over your competitors. If you have 2 accounts and you DONT use the same keywords you probably wont have any problems.

The simple thing to do is ask google. Unless you are trying to game the system (as many do) they wont ban you, I think they'll just link your accounts and prevent you being able to double serve accidentally.

My CPC campaign does great traffic but my CPM one just crawls along. One day I shut down my CPC one and my CPM version went through the roof, unpaused the CPC and it went back to statis quo.

I would love to have a second account just to run the CPM campaign run to its full potential. I am not trying to double serve just get the most out of it.

You can have more than one account but if you have the same set of keywords in 2 different accounts, with the same display URL, only one ad will show at a time on the basis of history and quality score, both ads cannot be served at the same time. You can have different Display Urls which lead you to the same page..

Yes resham, but thats the point - if you try and do what you are suggesting (different display urls) without google knowing or approving your multiple accounts, you WILL double serve and both your ads WILL show. Hence the reason google want you to only have 1 account.

If they know you have 2 accounts they will link them and they will act like 1 account, unable to double serve.
