Content network - do they tell you?

I submitted a couple of adgroups for inclusion in the content network but excluded from the search network.

I have a few impressions after several days but am I correct in thinking they don't enable them straight away? Or do they? i.e. does your advert go live immediately as with the search network? If not, do they tell you if your advert has been accepted?

Oh, and something else I have just noticed. In one adgroup it has 3 keywords. But in the other, there are zero keywords. But it says the adgroup is Active and Content is enabled.

I am very very confused. Can someone clarify for me what is going on here? Why do I have zero keywords in there?

To be honest, I am starting to hate adwords. It is getting too complicated.

I think all ads on Content network are reviewed manually before they get to show. It takes a couple of working days.

They don't tell you that it is approved unless you write to them specifically with the issue.

If the review fails ,, they do tell you by email that your ads have been 'disapproved' and why ..

If your bid is too low, the content impressions will be low, you may need to increase bid prices to get more impressions. However I suggest, you increase in very small multiples to check response. If you bid too high, the impressions really go wild .. in tens of thousands ;-)...

I don't think content network is dependent upon your keywords.. If you see impressions , all is o.k.

You may have ' Search' turned off or all keywords inactive.... still the Content network will work...

Maybe because they are inactive or you have removed them.. I really don't know without more details ... Sorry.
