Competitor Click Fraud on Adwords

From 2003-Jan 2006 my conversions were so consistent it was almost hard to believe. At the end of each month over this period conversion was always within 1 percentage point.

Since many advertisers have pulled out of Overture - really starting in Jan 2006, our conversion percentage is way down. We have maintained the same position, obviously paying a ton more CPC...but again our ad positions remain basically unchanged.

So why would our conversion be so down? And just so you know each month continues to get worse (each month I can guarantee Adwords is picking up more and more Yahoo/Overture ex-advertisers).

The only thing I can think of to account for this dramatic conversion drop is competitor click fraud. I contend that it is a much bigger problem than is reported-discussed here.

Anyone else very concerned about competitor click fraud?

We were also concerned about this-google will investigate and issue credits. When we set up an audit programme (Who's Clicking Who) we found two types of click abuse:
1. Competitors and 2. Affiliates

Both have virtually stopped and it has saved us money. May I ask a question of anyone out there? We have identified a competitor who has abused our site-what should I do?
