I've got a campaign that has about 30 ad groups - each one for a certain IT brand such as Intel, Benq etc. Each of those ad groups contains about 500 keywords.
now, we run monthly specials and I picked certain brands let's say Intel for instance to promote a special price on some Intel items. Because they are only temporary, I created a new ad group called 'specials'. In that ad group I added about 30 keywords that are most relavant to our special - let's say 'intel centrino' for instance.
This keyword can also be found in the other ad group under the brand 'Intel'.
Although I have a higher CPC on this keyword in the 'specials' ad group, it keeps showing the ad of the older 'brand' ad group which of course doesn't show our special pricing.
how can I temporarily give the 'specials' ad group a higher priority without deleting these keywords from our standard/brands ad group?
I hope I was clear with what I want to say ;-)
Thanks a lot for your help!

Raise the bids on the 'specials', lower the bid on the 'standards'. CTR (as a substantial part of the Quality Score) will play a role in the ranking, but the most effective toggle will be CPC.
I'm hoping this will target the traffic better and must say I see an improvement in conversion since doing it
