Mass removal of outgoing links. Is it bad?

I'm probably going to be making a large change on a blog. Currently it has a ton of outgoing links. I was thinking of keeping the links up, but just serving them dynamically. Instead of doing a link to othersite.com it would go to mysite.com/outgoing/index.php?link=othersite.com

Would it be bad to do this to all the links at once? If so, what time span would you think would be good to do this over? Would this be a bad idea in general?

Any suggestions or input is much appreciated.

It can help - but make sure those are NO FOLLOW links. Do it all at once and as fast as you like.

I've also heard that you do well to dynamically mirror the target page... (<< don't do this)

I'm sorry, could someone move this thread to the Google news/normal SE forum. Made a mistake.
