Issue with ads not being served

There is currently, at least for me, a problem where (for no apparent reason) my ads are not being displayed for various keywords. My competitor ads are appearing; my adgroup has about 50 terms and some keywords are triggering ads - but most are not.

You should check your ads! I will post why this is happening when Google gets back to me.

If you ask me, this is just more proof that things are going on 'behind the scenes' that Google is not communicating to advertisers' - I just hate having to do their QA work.
