i want to give users access to one of my client accounts - not all of accounts in my client centre, as these are for different clients.

You can also set up a Google account with permissions for that exact account.
Note, there isn't a permission system, so anyone with an account login can change anything they desire.
Under 'My Account', look for the 'user access' tab to create the account. I would suggest first checking the login and view yourself before passing this onto someone else for login just to make sure it's what you're expecting.
