Google locked me out

But I'm not banned.

Awhile back when logging into AdSense, I was presented with the chance to use my gmail account as my adwords login. When changing this the AdWords interface said something to the effect that "changing this username to the new email address is permanent are you sure you want to do this?" I changed it and used it successfully for the past couple months. Then last week I went to log in and receivd the following message:

Welcome! You're signed in to Google Accounts under the email joeblow@gmail.com and your Google Account password, but this is not a valid AdWords login. If you're an AdWords advertiser, try signing in using your AdWords email and password. Or, sign up for AdWords.

I tried my old username and received the same message.

I seriously doubt I am banned because I don't do anything shady and I had paused my campaigns recently. I emailed G and have not received a response. I'd like to resume and edit my campaigns but now I can't.

Has anyone had this happen to them as well?

No, I've always been afraid to change it!

However, if you're in the US, rather than wait on an email that may or may not help, try calling

1-866-2google

and talk to a 'real-time' human.

BTW, I believe they send an email to those they ban.

Good Luck!
