Why dont they contact you first?

Yes, i know the Adwords people send you an email stating that you have a declined payment. Thats fine.

What i find a bit rich is how they suspend your ads despite having a history of payments.

I think that after you have built up a reasonable "partnership" with Google, they should contact you BEFORE your ads are suspended. In our case, we just have to swap the cards over which takes about 15 seconds, but our ads are not displayed for more than a whole day. Both parties lose with this sort of service

I'll forward your feedback about this automated system, sniffer. Do be aware, though, of a new feature that will be available soon - if it is not already in your account: the ability to enter a back-up credit card. It should solve the issue that you're concerned with, as it will allow ads to continue to run if a charge on the primary card has been declined.

Thanks AWA, the back up card system will solve the problem. I'll read through the thread during my lunch break ;)
