Has anyone checked out the latest adwords editor by G. [services.google.com...]
Please let me know if anyone is ready to share the invitation code.
It has a very nice search feature, the ability to upload keywords, ad text and campaigns.
Have not looked at any of the reporting yet.
My overall impression that once you get past the initial slowness of importing your account, it is extremely fast at will be very helpful when trying to clean up accounts. The other nice feature is you can sync your current settings, work on them offline and post them later.
I'm having trouble downloading AdWords Editor. What should I do?

Glad to see the comments so far, including some nice ones. I suspect the teams involved with AdWords Editor will be reading this thread at least a time or two during the coming days, so you have their ear. ;)

Thank you for your interest in AdWords Editor. Currently, this product is only available as a limited release test to a small number of advertisers. Unfortunately, we're unable to accept additional participants at this time. However, should the need arise for more AdWords Editor beta participants, we will be in touch.
:(
There is a new version available. So, if you're using the beta, make sure you've downloaded the latest version - think it came out yesterday or today.
Benefits:
1. Speed!
The ability to manage campaign changes at desktop speed rather than web speed is amazing.
2. Campaign/AdGroup Creation
The ability to add several ads and keywords at once (same format as the bulk upload, if you don't add columns it parses out the info appropriately) is great.
3. Upload on your schedule
Done with your changes? Then upload everything and take a break while it's happening. It is similar to the API in that it might take a few minutes for the campaign to appear.
4. Search
The fact that search is segmented by ads, keywords, adgroups, or campaigns is great. It's also a better search than the account search as it only brings back matches which contain all the words in a search and not every match (i.e. a search for 'boston ads' in the MCC brings back anything that matches Boston OR ads - this program only brings back 'phrase matches' for 'boston ads').
Upgrades I'd like to See:
The ability to pull the info from the program into a spreadsheet (like the bulk outpost function).
Ability to edit all ads/keywords in a campaign at once. (i.e. when you click on 'add multiple keywords' or 'add multiple ads' you're presented with a tab seperated box - let us edit here as well).
Easier notification when something won't be uploaded. If there is an error, sometimes I have to fish around for the error to correct it.
More resizing ability (i.e. I'd rather see most of the screen as the ad text when editing ads, and not have so much screen space taken up by the 'color key').
Ability to add IP targeting to a campaign.
Ability to post a campaign at a future date.
Ability to link it to an MCC and pseparatedull any account without adding all the accounts and passwords (just require a password to open the program - same as accessing the MCC).
Custom date range for viewing stats.
Most common errors I've encountered (which is me missing a field - and relates to a feature above):
1. Forgot to add max CPC to an adgroup
2. Too many characters in an ad
3. Forgot to add daily budget to a campaign
I'm sure there's more - it's a very handy little program.

Are you saying you would like to be able to login to an MCC vs logging in to individual accounts? If so the version that I am running lets me use my master MCC and go to any account below it, even if they had numerous tiered MCC's within it.
I'd like to be able to input a single password/MCC into the program and then pull all the sub accounts & sub MCCs from that one login. Currently, if I download a new account I have to re-enter the password again.
Maybe the functionality is there and I'm just missing the proper input.
Are you just entering your MCC and all the sub accounts show up (which I've not tried with the latest release)?

Exactly. I think we have 40 odd accounts divided into 4 main MCC's and the main 4 are there when I log in to the master MCC. Then I can naviagte to any sub account within any of the other MCC's w/out putting any usernames or passwords in.
One thing that would be nice would be the ability to create a new account.
Also I am with Gopi, and would love to see a feature that lets me bulk upload campaigns, just like the bulk sheet I send to my rep now. If there is a way to do this, I could not figure it out.
1. Scripts/Codes/Programs that were built for API can be still used with minor modifications.
2. No more API quota! I don't know about you guys, but I used up my entire API quota this January in only three days.
Umm those are the only ones on top of my head right now. FOr me, the most important thing is the API quota, I guess.
I don't know why they don't have a bulk adgroups feature anywhere (maybe with the API but I just havn't had time). It is almost like they are begging for people to create crappy ads with thousands of keywords attached.
I will say one thing. G has now given me the ability to work while on long car trips and on vacation. Something I am not quite sure I needed. ;)

I'll pass that on the team, hannamyluv. Maybe we can find a way for you to schedule shutting off AdWords Editor access. ;)
By the way, I'll soon be forwarding all new feedback since last week, in the Advertiser Feedback report that goes out each Thursday night.
We'd love to hear your /criticisms/comments/praise. So have at it.

I am still trying to figure out what functionality I would like out of this, but one thing I was working on today involves creating new ad copy. I would like to take everything I have in an account now, and copy it, but keep the original, then make changes to new copy, and post them as new, so I now have my old and my new.
The other thing that would be nice, would somehow allow you to copy whatever screen you were on (think alt+a , ctrl+c to copy it) then allow me to past it into excel for quick editing, then paste the changes back in as either A a change, or B overwrite the existing...
