Anyone notice a traffic surge in the Search and Search Network? I have not done anything to my account yet clicks are up about 25 to 30% in a reasonably competitive field. This started yesterday, Sunday the 15th.

on Jan 9th I had a surge in my adwords content network that was really abnormal. Something like Millions of impressiond and thousands of clicks.

I have asked Adwords to investigate.

A surge in content network is likely to be fraudulent clicks. However, Search and Search Network are less likely to be subject to fraudulent clicks.

"A surge in content network is likely to be fraudulent clicks."

Not always, there are thousands of people who put adsense on their site daily. There are also many people who remove adsense daily. In some of the niches I advertise, content match has worked very well (better than search), and the so called "traffic surges" convert just as well for me.

There were a lot of people home yesterday for Martin Luther King Jr Day, so that might have been the reason for monday.

I love holidays where "most" people just sit home, relax, and get on the internet.

I wish there was a "National Surf The Internet" day.
