One day is too small a sample for google to always be able to get it right, as far as I know the budget is effectively calc'd over a month. So Google might go over one day but will even it out over the month so it averages at $10.
If you have a low daily spend like $10 the margin for error is very small. I'd only get upset if the same thing happened for days on end.

it says somewhere in their help center, that they may sell you up to 20% more clicks than your budget states. However, they will never exceed your monthly budget which is your daily budget multiplied nby number of days in a month. but 15 is 150% of 10...

The only useful thing I know about Koolaid is that if the kids spill it on their shirts it's hard to get the stains out.
