Charged for clicks that don't reach website.

I'm not convinced its fraud, but 6% is too high for my liking.

In December...

Google Clicks -> 49,560
Log File Visitors -> 46,798

Lost clicks -> 2,762
Ave CPC -> $0.48

For this month alone I reckon I was charge $1,325 too much. Has anyone any ideas as how I should approach this with Google. These figures just don't sit right with me at all.

Thanks
Donal

It's a part of AdWords (or any ppc advertising) that you need to live with. Once the 'visitor' has gone through the tracking system and sent on their way to your site there's always going to be a small proportion that never make it.

6% is not excessive IMHO.

Yes, it's small consolation, but 6% isn't that bad.

Whether these discrepencies are malicious fraud or something else, Google's and my numbers match more closely these days than they did a couple years ago. They are improving.
